Nighttime extubation increase adverse outcomes?

Now, I'm in San Francisco and leaving for Japan 2 hours from now on.

The conference was excellent and practical. I appreciate all the staff arranging this meeting.

The most informative session was Critical Care Year in review.
Speakers introduced the latest articles associated with ICU and critical care.

Nighttime Extubation Does Not Increase Risk of Reintubation, Length of Stay, or Mortality: Experience of a Large, Urban, Teaching Hospital

The outcome of this study was negative. There was no significant difference between nighttime extubation and daytime extubation.
This study is a retrospective study. The intensivists might avoid extubating high-risk patients during nighttime.  The adverse event associated with nighttime extubation was lower than that of daytime.
But the result depends on the manpower of each institute.
