定時脳外手術における再挿管のコホート調査。@ブラジル
そもそもICUにおける再挿管率は2-25%、手術を受けた患者(surgical patientをどう定義すればよいのかわからないが）の再挿管率は0.3%~4%。
脳神経外科の手術を受けた患者における再挿管を３年にわたって調査したところ、再挿管率（術後48時間以内の再挿管）は12.4%であった。再挿管原因の一番は意識状態の変容(71.5%)。再挿管患者はその後のICU入院期間、死亡率等でも有意な差を認めた。
また術前の状態として再挿管群では意識状態が悪い患者が多かった。

結果としては予想通りというところだが、再挿管率が12.4％は高いと感じる。
そもそも再挿管になる場合の病態のリスクの高さもあるので、「再挿管」というイベント
が予後や死亡率を左右しているとは言えないが、安易な抜管はさけるべきなのか。
