敗血症でICUに入院した患者が対象。
InterventionはVitaminB1 200mg/12h とVitaminC 1.5g/6h hydrocortisone 50mg/6hを投与した群とhydrocortisoneのみを投与した群
primary outcome 7日間のうちで、昇圧薬freeの時間と死亡率
secondary outcome 29, 90日死亡率

で結果としては全く差がなかった。

Editorialでは、結局適切な抗生物質の早期開始が大切なんだけど、それは他の手段の効果がないことを示唆しているわけではないのだがー　という曖昧なもの。
Rapid initiation of appropriate antibiotics should be an absolute priority for treatment of all patients with septic shock in clinical practice as well as in clinical research.
